Starting to paint your home can be a very exciting and rewarding experience. It's a great way to express your personal style and create a space that you love.
The first thing we consider when we start painting our homes is the colour palette. We want to choose colours that we love and that will work well together. We also want to make sure that the colours are appropriate for the space.
Have you ever considered finding a non-toxic paint or checking the VOC level of conventional paints? How Paint Fumes Affect Your Health ? Painted recently and now people are getting sick?
Paint fumes contain a variety of volatile organic compounds (VOCs), which are chemicals that can evaporate easily into the air. VOCs can be harmful to human health, even at low levels of exposure.
Short-term effects of paint fumes
Short-term exposure to paint fumes can cause a variety of symptoms, including:
Eye, nose, and throat irritation
Headaches
Dizziness
Nausea
Fatigue
Loss of coordination
Long-term effects of paint fumes
Long-term exposure to paint fumes can cause more serious health problems, including:
Central nervous system damage
Liver and kidney damage
Cancer
Your home should be your sanctuary. All we want is best air quality in our home, in our little Boy/girl nursery.
What is my solution:
I have definitely considered using non-toxic paint when painting my home. I'm concerned about the health effects of VOCs, and I want to create a healthy environment for my family.
VOCs are volatile organic compounds, and they are released into the air when paint dries. VOCs can cause a variety of health problems, including eye, nose, and throat irritation; headaches; dizziness; nausea; and fatigue. Long-term exposure to VOCs can also cause more serious health problems, such as central nervous system damage, liver and kidney damage, and cancer.
This is why I always consider natural/organic non toxic paint. The best solution I came up so far is to limewash my home.

Limewash is a traditional paint that is made from lime and water. It is a natural and non-toxic paint that is also breathable. This means that it allows moisture to escape from the walls, which can help to prevent mold and mildew growth.
I am sure you won't regret this dreamy look with all the other health advantages that come with it.
